    Default Bahamut Cave

How do you beat Bahamut in the Bahamut Cave and how do you survive in the cave long enough without using up all your MP by fighting a ton of Behemoths?

Behemoths are docile, for starters. They only counterattack, so rather than assault them, take the time to use strong attacks and then heal when necessary. And never use Holy or Meteor, because they'll counterattack with Maelstrom and it's going to hurt like hell.

As for Bahamut, have FuSoYa (if you still have him) and Rosa casting Reflect on everyone, and use the Lunar Curtains in your inventory. When he uses Mega Flare, it'll bounce back and hit him for 9999. It should be easy going from there.

Also there's a set amount of Behemoths that you face and the number of Behemoths you have to face doesn't reset when you exit the cave.

You face 3 Behemoths altogether if I'm not mistaken

Penelo - "Yeah, you! The one reading this sig at this very moment!"
Vaan - "Interested in playing FFXII International Zodiac Job system?"
Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
    Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

Myep. Three. And they don't respawn if you exit the cave. The best strategy if you're finding the battles to be too hard because you're undeleveled is to beat one behemoth, get out of the cave to rest in the big whale, save, go back in and beat the next one, get out and rest again, et cetera.

Only have your strongest physical fighters attack while the others defend. Have Rosa (and FuSoYa if you still have him) heal, and if you need some more time to heal your characters, just have everyone defend since Behemoths will only counter your attacks. When you've defeated the three Behemoths, you may wish to return to the cave entrance and save the game, so you don't have to fight those Behemoths again if you lose to Bahamut.

Lower your battle speed when fighting Bahamut. If you fight him on the fastest speed in FFIV Hard Type, the countdown can go all the way from 5 to 0 before your characters get to do a single thing. Have Rosa and FuSoYa cast Reflect on everyone (maybe use Lunar Curtains too), Rydia summon Leviathan and the rest of your characters attack. I suggest casting Reflect first on Rosa, then Cecil, then whoever you consider to be useful in that battle.

I used all my levaiathan an ass of times and had kain jump in time with mega flare so he was always in the air when it hit and he would heal the party when he came down and have my brutes atack. Hard fight took me forever to beat.
