    Auto-locking old threads.

Is it not possible to set up some sort of... thing, that automatically locks a thread x amount of time after the last posting to that thread was made?

You know, like a countdown - if nobody continues the discussion on that thread after a certain amount of time, the website system closes the thread and prevents anyone from reviving this now old thread.

Of course I don't know anything about website programming, but surely it should be possible to make a little auto-admin kind of thing, or whatever?

Damn right, it's better than yours!

we'd have to have like a million (or twenty) different timers for all the forums since there's a different definition of old in each of them.

Besides, people should know better and a bunch of locked threads is unsightly.

Personally I think if your past the third or fourth page in a forum and your not looking for something specific, then you need to get a life or something. >.>
