Thanks for the tips, as for those who say I should relish it... I would if I didn't have to work in the day and be somewhat intelligible. It's actually starting to affect my health a bit as well. I had a customer ask me the other day if I was doing okay cause I looked like I was about to pass out. I felt fine at the time but it seems it's starting to show.

I would love to say sex, but that never wears me out. One of the great flaws of my being.
I think the best way to fall asleep is to read a severely boring book with a soft red light on, and maybe a fan or a humidifier going. Even if the book isn't boring, at least make it so you don't understand a lot of it.
Like, say, The Handmaid's Tale or even The Wheel of Time series.
When I am awake, I eat everything in sight.

Where's a Grat when you need one, eh?
Watch TV while drinking warm milk. Or, taking a warm bath. And thennn reading lots of books or magazines until I finally just get so bored, I fall asleep.

:hello: WHAT HAPPENED TO THE HELLO KITTY SMILEY :hello:
Usually I don't do anything for insomnia, but when I really need some sleep I take a 50 mg tablet of Gravol. It works great.![]()

Take turns.Do I have to be wearing the [Wonder Woman] outfit or her?
...
I had insomnia for like 3 years regularly and had it for like 3 years before that on and off. Im pretty much over it now (except for here and there when i still get it like tonight for example) but in those long hard years i never found a "cure" or anything that really helped me to get to sleep (except for baths but the wierd thing is i would start to fall asleep in the bath but when i got out i would be wide awake!) so unfortunatly your stuck with it. I just hope you cant find something that can konk you out eventhough i never could.![]()
go on the internet, then to bed and write some things or watch tv for the last few moments before falling asleep. i don't know if it's insomnia or because my zodiac sign's ruling hours are very, very late.
what do you I to get to sleep? I make sure I make use of the hours which proceed it (i.e. going to school, college, work and working hard)

I don't know how to even respond to this without you absolutly hating me... Do you like Wonder Woman?![]()
Seriously though, I hate reading fiction though I guess I could pull out some of my old psychology books or Biology books and get a similiar affect.
Damn straight...
I hate to admit this, but I really hate medicine and doctors and refuse to deal with either of them if I don't have to.
KINKY! Time to show off my inner transvestite...
I'm the same way, I've always been more of a night person anyway but it's starting to affect my job and health so I should try to at least get back to having at least 6 hours of sleep. I've has insomnia off and on for years.
Internet tends to keep me alert as does writing. TV holds little interest to me so I prefer music. I'm not sure what my signs ruling hours are (I should with the amount of astrology books I own:rolleyes2 ) but I am a Scorpio so chances are it's probably late at night or the evening. I tend to be more creative at night, so I do most of my writing then.
I usually do but I only have work to deal with now and I've lost contact with or have a conflicting schedule with family and friends. I use to take walks in the middle of the night. I would wonder through my neighborhood and sometimes go into the city.
I don't do drugs unfortunately...
I do too![]()
Warm milk never seems to affect me and I have a hard time getting board cause I've sorta've hardwired myself to find amusement in simple things when I get desperate:laughing:
Thanks for the help everyone.

I wish I could help you but for about three years I haven't had a night of sleep that wasn't enduced by over the counter medicine, perscriptions, or alcohol. Try knocking back a few.
