from the moment it started, i was enveloped in it, and i think it's just amazing

I enjoyed it, and I thought it had its clever quirky moments, and the style of the movie was just great film noir. But it tried too hard, and didn't really succeed that well.

i can definitely see your point. and at times it seemed a little too much to me like the characters were ...is dancing a good word?... with eachother and the dialog.

That pretty much sums up my thoughts on it. The cinematography is beautiful and the style is great, but it almost fits in too well into the premise of a noir without retaining the same emotional power.
