You know a 750W Power Supply is pritty much redundant in almost all but the most over powered or hard drive filled machines so it's needless costing you and the environment when a 500W would probably suffice you. Larger numbers don't always mean better.
I know, but why not have it anyways? I got it for free.

cuz I predict in the near future it shocks you to death because you forgot to unplug it while installing a new graphic card :0

Actually their clock speed is faster, the chips themselves are still lagging behind AMD in overall speed as Intel chips bottleneck so you don't even use most of the 3+ GHz they have.

You must still be stuck in the NetBurst days of the P4. Core (2) Duo (Yonah/Merom/Woodcrest/Conroe) chips stress processes per clock cycles and power consumption over raw clock speeds. In the mid to high-end processor market Intel has overtaken AMD with custom builders. It's just a better buy all around.

750W is the theoretical limit. Devices plugged into the PSU only use as much power as they need. Having a PSU with greater wattage is just a safety net when devices start to use more power in the future.

AMD's are better processors anyway because a 2.2Ghz Athlon 64 runs at the same speed as a 3.7Ghz Pentium 4, hence the term "Intellahertz" (and also what that number on AMD boxes means E.G. 3700+ = 3.7Ghz "Intellahertz") as for the high end dual cores i have no idea as ive heard Intel has done some major restructuring to the Core2Duo's. As for how cool they run though AMD still aces it, even in the dual cores!

No one buys P4s anymore, though. The comparison is made between the two manufactures current line of processors (Core 2 Duo vs. AM2/Turion) and as such, according the the benchmarks Intel is ahead in the non-budget line of CPUs.

That will change when the AMD quad core comes out just you wait! *I say in true fanboy fashion*

Yes, I am a bit fanboyish to AMD as well. But that's because every computer I've ever had with a intel chipset has overheated to no end.

AMD used to generate a lot more heat than Intel CPUs, so I don't get why.

I know nothing of stats, but we got it for $400-$500 and it can play Half-Life 2. That's all I really know about my PC's stats. >_>

I think if the E4300 from Intel drops about $40, I would be tempted to switch to an Intel system. At this moment though, AMD's pricing is extremely competitive. Performance may not be up to par with the Intel currently, but a system built with an AMD processor is definitely more affordable all around. Considering a X2 3600 only costs $95 and I can overclock it to perform like an E6300, I can feel pretty confident that I got a good deal considering the E6300 is $190 average. Not to mention I've found that AM2 motherboards seem much more affordable than 775 boards on average. And with those savings I can at least get a halfway decent video card so my performance isn't bottlenecked during gaming sessions.

EDIT: I also have a LaCie 250GB external hard drive.

I have had this computer for 4 years:

    - P4 3.0GHz
    - ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (128mb)
    - 250GB HDD
    - 1GB RAM
    - Samsung 21" Widescreen LCD Monitor (got recently)

I really am just saving up to buy a whole new system and extra monitor though. =)
