Now I don't claim to know much about rap, and the second I post this someone is probably going to post something along the lines of "OMG u r teh loserz lol!!1" but from the limited rap I listen to I can only think of two songs that meet the conditions:

    - Right Now by John Cena and
    - Dedicated by Linkin Park (Before anyone says anything I know that LP aren't technically rap, but this is an unreleased track they did that actually is rap)

    Which FF Character Are You?

This post made me laugh quite hard.

I honestly would reccomend staying away from Linkin Park. At all costs. All. Costs.

Anyway, I reccomend The Beastie Boys, Nujabes, Eminem, NWA, Public Enemy, and MC Chris. There's more, but I can't be arsed to remember. Maybe MC Lars.

A'yo, I didn't say all rap is gangster. But gangster is appart of the culture. I don't care what y'all think, Rap and hip hop is all about that image regardless if we're talking about songs that's clean or straight down and dirty. This is what rap and hip hop is made of. And it's like that for a reason. For someone to say give rap and hip hop without drugs, women, violence, etc... that's like metal without instantly loud background music. Tell me I'm wrong.

    Heres some more...

My brother is very passionate about rap. Especial 90's rap/and hip hop. Well, I guess what he's trying to say is that no matter how positive or negative something is, it's like that for a reason. Now things can change but it still doesn't change it's past.

Look brother, I know people are trying to make a positive impact on rap and hip hop. And trust me when I say this, I'm am highly for that. But not acknowledging the mistakes it made would be denying what help create a better future for Rap and Hip Hop. I Love everything about Rap and Hip hop. It's mistakes and it's accomplishment because it's all important. And anyone who deny any part of it should find another genre. And that's real.

Nah, it would be like metal without lyrics about death, violence and misery, and there's a lot of metal without those :p. Not all metal is about being as hard and loud as possible.

And not all rap and hip hop is about cars, women, money and etc... But those are still elements of what makes hip hop hip hop and rap rap.

Hip Hop is my favorite genre.

I love underground stuff you'd never heard of like Atmosphere, The Roots, Sage Francis, Jedi Mind Tricks, Aesop Rock, Alias etc. as well as semi-mainstream like Biggie (greatest rapper ever) and early Jay-Z.

Stay away from the hos, bling & tripe of hip hop, that is a bastard son of a great creation.
