Is FFVi for the gameboy advance a remake of another FF? I was reading on FFVI, than read the FFVI gameboy advance storyline. They were completely different, leaving me confused.

Vaan - "Hey, you!"
Penelo - "Yeah, you! The one reading this sig at this very moment!"
Vaan - "Interested in playing FFXII International Zodiac Job system?"
Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

So it is kind of like FFIII for the NDS? Just added features, but bassicly the same game>?
No, FFIII on the DS is FFIII. FFIII that came out on the SNES is actually FFVI. There were numbering issues in the US due to the fact that only some of the Final Fantasy games were released in the US.
Original Japanese Release Original US release US "Re-release" with proper name FFI FFI FFI FFII Never Released FFII FFIII Never Released FFIII FFIV FFII FFIV FFV Never Released FFV FFVI FFIII FFVI FFVII FFVII FFVII
After FFVI the Final Fantasies were all released with the same number in Japan and the US.
Something to do with technology. I do not really remember. I was doing some research on Final Fantasy in general. Ran across this one. Than I was on game stop, and found out that they had the game for the game boy. I was thinking of buying it, because I am trying to get Final Fantasies, 1-6 for my NDS.

I think I understand now. About the release dates. I know that US changed the names for Final Fantasy. But I knew that like, two was six, things like that. I actually try to avoid those games, and that is another reason I was checking up on three.
Yes. I know about things like that. Yes I was a bit confused, but I figured out what you meant. So now days, if you get any FF, for the game boy advance, that had a different US launch name, would be closer to the version in japan. It would also be the correct number, right?
Okay with that being said, if I see any on the gameboy, I should pick it up, without worrying what number it really is.
gosh you lot are lucky, cause in UK we still haven't got FFV or FFVI Advance. BTW does anyone know when the release of VI will be in Europe?
EOFF needs a resurgence to it's former glory.
Someone can probably find out. If you have wikipedia you can try using that.
I have, Three, and Five. So im going to buy the ones in between that I have not gotten yet.
