Run a Scan operation on an antivirus program. If you don't have one, get one. It should find it and arrange it so that it won't bother anyone.

Also, send me a PM when you fix this issue, or any of the other ops so that the ban can be lifted. 8-)

Download free antivirus, and scan, use it.
Then if feel you're still not safe, use an online scanner.

If there is any doubt whether the system is clean after downloading and using an antivirus program, and using the online scans, find a anti-spyware forum or site.

They have a toolbox of smaller volunteer-made tools that fix some of the latest malware and other nasties. If they don't have it, they can still give you good advice.
Once the computer is clean, keep it updated via Windows Update if it is a Windows operating system. Also recommend visiting those sites for prevention inforamtion and tools to help you stay clean in the future.
There are many categories of malware and viruses. Trojan horses, rootkits, viruses, spyware, adware, malware, and other assorted lovely things.

I personally would suggest downloading a demo-version of a commercial anti-virus as well. Free anti-viruses are good, but from my experience I can tell you that they're really quite a bit behind the ones you pay for.
My recommendation is Dr. Web:

You can get a demo of it and if you can't cure the system with this program, I suggest full windows re-installation with possible partition formatting.
Good luck.
