what is this instrument??

I am trying to remember the name of an instrument, it is wooden with grooves in and you have a stick and scrape it up and down it looks kinda like the attached picture. thanks

I know that looks more like a worm but i cant remember exactly what they look like either

It's simply called exactly what you might think it to be: a scraper.

The fancy, official name is guiro, as far as I know, though we never called it anything else than the scraper in symphonic band.
