I don't entirely disagree with you here; it's just a matter of degree. Sequels should have some continuity of tone, and FFX-2 is so different from FFX in tone that it's jarring and almost undermined the experience for me.Originally Posted by SeeDRankLou
Unfortunately because it's a sequel it's innovative features get lost in the shuffle because the story gets rated as a poor second to the original. For example, I'd love to see New Game+ in a regular FF. The three female party was another innovation. Basically, it's an experimental game that got mixed results.
