Actually, I haven't a clue what a router is, but I connect via a USB modem, and it worked the last time I had a power cut. Hell I didn't even notice we had a power cut since I was sitting in the dark anyway and had nothing but my laptop running. Was surprised when my dad appeared with a torch and called me a smart arse since the power cut didn't affect me then.
