I honestly don't see a point in marriage to begin with, aside from the benefits from the government and smaller insurance rates and all that. Not to mention that wedding ceremonies tend to be grossly ostentatious displays of wealth rather than whatever other reasons people try to give for it.

A marriage is a contract. Divorce is the breaking of that contract. Nothing special there.
