How far have you walked and under what circumstances?

My furthest was this weekend. Im doing the Duke of Edinburgh course with school, and it was a practise expedition this weekend. We walked over 20km, which is about 16 miles. It was spread over 2 days, and so we had to sleep in the middle of a FIELD in the land of sheep that is Wales. I didn't get an ounce of sleep, so the Sunday I was like gaaah xD
There are too many gates and styles (whatever they're called!) in Wales. I just lost the energy to clamber over them. We didn't have any teachers with us, they just waited at checkpoints throughout the route. We passed though ~ I feel like a zombie now like, and had to get the energy from somewhere to go into school today.

The qualifying expedition is this June, so that will be even longer. Then Ive completed Bronze! Silver and Gold are even harsher with silver being 2 nights, and Gold being about 5.

Edit~ If 16 miles doesn't sound alot, we had to carry everything we needed for 2 days in a huge rucksack weighing nearly 2 stone D:
