Believe me, that guy's just obsessed with computer games and that's pretty much all he does apart from watch shedloads of documentaries which have given him such an extensive general knowledge that talking to him is like talking to an encyclopedia.

You're absolutely right and when stuff like that does exist, I'll never hear the end of it. Me and my ex are still friends, but I think he's quite sad to not have much of a life outside videogames.
