Thread: Question about Anthology clock

    Default Question about Anthology clock

In the PSX version of this game, is the game clock somewhat slower than average? It seems to me that I have been playing for much longer than it displays. I am currently in the World of Ruin, following the path of the carrier pigeon to Zozo, and the game clock says 17 hr. 38 min. Is it just me? I feel that I have been playing far longer than that.

I remember noticing that when I played it a long while ago. Maybe it doesn't keep time during battles?

I can't say for sure, but I could definitely see getting to that point of the game in that much time if you know what you're doing. Not really an answer to your question I suppose aside from the fact that it may just be you.

Yeah, the clock is slower in the SNES version too. I'm not sure about the GBA version.

I have little to no idea what I'm doing sometimes!

Perhaps in the PSX version the clock only counts actual gameplay time, and not loading time, which would explain why it seems that you've been playing much longer than what the clock displays.
