Onion Knight (DS)

In the DS version, do I have to enter level 93 and up as an Onion Knight to get the stat benefits, or can I get to level 99 as another class and then switch? In other words, can I get the stat benefits of an Onion Knight if I switch to it from a different class at lvl. 99?

All of the base stats for each class are pre-set based upon your character's level. In other words, you don't need to level up at 93 to 99 to get the Onion Knight stat bonuses. What does matter is how high the Vitality of the Jobs you use to level are. Levelling up with high Vitality jobs will result in higher HP levels.

All you have to make sure of when using the Onion Knight is that you use it Level 90-93+, otherwise, any of the permanent Stat Changes (I think HP might be the only one, not sure.) won't be as high as they could be, as they come with character levels, and not job levels.
