Annoying misspellings

I frequently miss the apostrophe in who're. A spell-checker won't pick that up, so I always double-check visually.

Not the kind of typo one would want to write in an essay or a job application letter...

You shouldn't use contractions in essays or job applications anyway. Looks bad.
