Just want to know what other people think about Avril Lavigne's carrier single for her third album The Best Damn Thing. Here's a link to the video from YouTube.

The music is fun and catchy. The pop rock element was still retained.

Avril's image in the video was kinda disturbing. Fishnet stockings, mini skirt, long blonde hair and now she dances! Not that I have a problem with it. In fact I quite admire her new image.

It's quite understandable why she's changed. She's married now to Deryck Whibley of Sum 41 after all.

But main point: I want to know what you guys think.

I think she's an OK human being, but I don't much care for her music.

Nothing special. I wouldn't be bothered if someone randomly played it somewhere, but it's definitely nothing I would seek out on my own.

And well Supergyration, she was asking what you thought of the music, not the person :p.

I also don't find the way she dresses disturbing at all.

On topic. Avril's become more profane now with lines such as "Hell yeah, I'm a m***** f***in' princess"

The Best Damn Thing also has a Parental Advisory label.

Avril Lavigne isn't bad. I quite liked some of her music, especially off her second album (I borrow that one quite frequently from my sister ). Not to mention she's pretty hot. But this song is pretty crap though. Just another cheesy teeny bopper song.......I guess it was inevitable that she would eventually turn out like this.

dear god its awful
i used to love her (not literally, may i add) and her music and lyrics and singing...but that was just like, bad
i think its ruined her....not entirely but it has had some affect....especially with me, i have lots of people who will agree with me here

The song isn't terrible, I prefer her openly being pop to pretending she's punk. No real need for swearing though in that kind of song...
