    Default monographs.

    where do you get them.

    in the money problems thread i made, i heard of people getting them as early as jahara. where can you get them? and no spoilers. of course. he furthest i've got is the start of the stillshrine of miriam.

    EDIT: hang on. i have something in the bazaar "forgotten grimoire" that costs 25,000gil. is that a monograph?

    You have to talk to the store owners. (weapons, protectives, magic, gambits, techincks...)
    EOFF needs a resurgence to it's former glory.

    Interact with shopkeepers and a certain board enough and they appear.

    Well the one you have that cost 25000 is the second last 1 you can get the others you have to beat a certain hunt and talk to merchants certain ones. Thevery last one you need to sell 3 certain items.

    Dragoon's Monograph
    Dragons and Plants
    Check the hunt board 40 times
    22,000 gil

    Sage's Monograph
    Elements
    Talk to the owner of any shop 100 times
    25,000 gil

    Warmage's Monograph
    Amorphs and Undead
    Check the hunt board 20 times
    20,000 gil

    Scholar's Monograph
    Constructs
    Talk to the owner of an armour shop 15 times

    There's also the Canopic Jar, which has similar properties of Monographs. It is listed as "Morbid Urn" in the Bazaar, and you need to sell the Phobos Glaze, Horakhty's Flame and Deimos Clay items, which are obtained as a reward for beating the Gil Snapper, Orthros and Trickster Hunts. The Canopic Jar makes it so that regular monsters can drop Arcana instead of only Rare Monsters.

    By the way, its totally possible to beat Trickster when you first get to the Paramina Rift on a normal playthrough without overleveling, getting "ultimate weapons" early, etc.
