Default DK Bongo Blast for the Wii

    http://wii.ign.com/articles/780/780320p1.html

Following its sudden disappearance late last year from the GameCube release charts, DK Bongo Blast has at last resurfaced on the pages of the latest Famitsu. As previously reported, the game has taken the Super Paper Mario route and is now due for release on the Wii.

Unlike Super Paper Mario, DK Bongo Blast was scheduled to make use of the GameCube bongo controller peripheral for its controls. The Wii version has been modified to control via the Wiimote and nunchuck. You shake the two devices in turn to accelerate, shaking just one to veer in a particular direction. To jump, you raise the Wiimote and nunchuck together. You can also punch enemies and obstacles and throw barrels; we presume developer Paon has thought up some clever control options for these moves.

The Famitsu article makes no mention of support for the GameCube bongo controller. We presume a decision to not support the peripheral would require a name change.

DK Bongo Blast will feature 16 courses set across 7 worlds, Famitsu reports. Four players will be able to battle via split screen.

A Japanese release is set for 6/28.

    Vaan - "Hey, you!"
Penelo - "Yeah, you! The one reading this sig at this very moment!"
Vaan - "Interested in playing FFXII International Zodiac Job system?"
Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
    Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"
