That's a difference between you and me. I'll help them until they understand it and get it. People always say if you can do that, you understand it quite well. I'm the type of person that would give up my own well being for a friend. While this is hurting me currently, cause I've done that for the past 3 years, I also have gained a few friends that would help me out in desperate times.

    I rarely put myself first.

"Beating" your study partner? You don't really understand the purpose of studying with someone, do you?
Well, being competitive can sometimes make you work better. It's helped me in the past.
That kind of behaviour doesn't help anyone, though. Competitiveness only helps you improve if you use it to motivate yourself to do better, not if you sabotage other people.
I think the purpose of studying with someone is to improve both of your likelyhood of getting higher grades, however in this instance all i am doing is improving my chances more than theirs whilst still improving thiers yet less so, I usually only do this with the person who comes 3rd or ties with me and has pottential to overtake me.
And yes it sounds (and probably is) selfish but I need to use every tactic i can to get good test marks, people might think it's easy for the people who get good grades to do so because "they're just smart" but really sometimes it's a struggle
    Kefka's coming, look intimidating!
    Have a nice day!!

Well man, you should start putting yourself first. There's a huge difference between being selfish, and looking out for your main priorities which happened to be yourself at number one. It's nice to help people, and I feel like I have achieved something when I do aid them, but at the end of the day, if you want to get in a football/soccer team and you want to be a striker. Your friend also wants to join, you know you're on the same level as him and it's proper tight to get in that slot for the trial. You wouldn't start giving him all your pointers on how to pass through the trials, and not consider your self first. That's like being a player who never keeps the ball, and never wants to score. All he does is pass pass pass. Sometimes you gotta think deep about life and say: "Yeah, my friends can wait, because I want to pass this exam".

That's all I gotta say on the matter.
EOFF needs a resurgence to it's former glory.

I always think I do crap at tests, then I'll get my tests back and I do better than expected.

Like in my Maths module 1, I was thinking that I did extremely bad as I suck at Maths, but I did get my friend who gets like A*'s in Maths to tutor me and go over anything I didn't understand. I got a B, which is so much better than I expected especially as my school has removed 'Intermediate' so now you're either doing Higher or Foundation in Maths. Im so not at Higher level ;__;!

I have a Mock English Literature GCSE tomorrow kndslahdljkl;d
