Creative Zen. I have a 60GB Zen Vision M, and it's loads better than an iPod, namely because it has a built-in mic, plays more video and audio formats than an iPod, and has better sound quality and interface in my opinion.

The only downsides I've noticed are that it's kind of thick, and the software it comes with isn't that great. But it's not like you're really going to use it for anything other than transfer, so not much of a problem for me.

Also, forgot to mention it's cheaper as well. I got my 60 off newegg.com for $270.
