Harvest Moon DS (not Rune Factory) also had some monster battles, mainly in the mines. It was annoying as hell.

I heard of it a long time ago, and was a little surprised when they said on the site that it was coming in the US =P It looks... interesting.

On the side though, they need to bring the Girl version of Harvest Moon DS to the US... </3
