I think that once somebody is on staff they should be atleast somewhat active, otherwise there is no point them even being on staff.

I don't think it matters so much about posting in the Staff forum unless they have any issues with what is being discussed, but if they want to just stay out of the conversations and just get on with moderating then it shouldn't really matter as long as they're doing what they're supposed to be doing!
