I think it's too early to judge, especially since it's just a promo still intended to grab people's attention. I'll wait to see some actual film shots before I make a call.

After having watched the original Tim Burton Batman movie for the first time in a few years last night, I'm quite certain that just about any decent actor could play a better Joker than Jack. And considering the people making the film, I'm quite certain the Joker will be portrayed in a way that is much closer to the source material even if they seem to be taking some liberties with his look.

That said, I kind of like the look. I don't think Heath (or just about anyone) could really pull off the comic book look the whole time, so it makes sense to make changes.
