FFIX ftw
Yay my game is in the lead FFIX has the most captivating story it pleads on love, philospohies, and just getting on through life and finding your path. Final Fantasy IX has my favorite story out of the series and is my favorite game period.
Yellow Winged Angel
7, i would like to pick another but this one just gave me so much entertainment![]()
If I was like Cloud I don't think I would have taken that test.
Changed to stop Jessweeee♪ from going insane. Is that better?
X because it is one of the few stories that has no major plotholes or inconsistancies.
Please feel free to read my take on the official novalisation of Dissidia Final Fantasy at this link:

The best story imo is the story of FF IX and maybe FF VII.
I was very tempted to vote for IX just so VII didn't win, but I went with my real pick instead-- I. I know, it doesn't have much of a story and the time loop never has made sense and never will. That's cool.
I like the fact that the game is what you make of it. Your characters don't all have to be the dim-witted meatshields, do-gooders, people with absolutely no personality whatsoever (because everyone seems to think no personality=badass for some reason), or damsels in distress turned white mages. They're whatever you want them to be, and it's different each time through. Each playthrough conjures up new fantasies about the five sky warriors and how they met their fate as bats. Each playthrough means a new way you try desperately (and fail) to make sense of the time loop. A new fantasy about how Garland went from a great general to a ridiculously weak boss. Cinematic scenes are nothing compared to imagination. I'll take that over reliving the same cliches in every playthrough anyday. Not that I'm putting down the stories of the other FFs, I just love the simple charm and freedom of mind allowed in I.
FF1
No wait FF5
No wait ff6
No wait ff7
No wait ff9
I can't decide
I'm back who mised me.
Tumble weed roles across the ground.
Tactics
The political and religious machinations in Tactics are far superior to those of either X or XII.
Not to mention Ramza is an incredible lead character.
I think gamespot put it best when they said, "if shakespeare were to make a video game it would be final fantasy tactics."
Greatest Game of All-Time.
It's hard to pick one...even the older games have that charm to their stories that I can't ignore. For now, I'll just pick 'Other' since I can't decide.
FF VII - No doubt, nothing will ever beat it.
