I know this has already been done but things change so without further ado let's get started:

Mine is Don't go soft by The Vincent Black Shadow

The verses, not so much thankfully, but I've been going through a tough time recently with a rubbish job and a whiney, childish ex. I was out on a night out with my friends (my ex happened to be in the same bar) and this song came on, and I was singing (yelling?) along with the person who was singing (it was a karaoke night), and generally acting as though my ex's presence didn't bother me, even though it did.

While there is a lot of songs I really like or could find some really strong messages in, I'm gonna have to go with Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. While I don't really have a great emotional attachment to the song itself, that song practically got me into music, I mean really got me into music and is probably the reason why I play guitar now, something I never wish to stop.

At the moment it's probably The Take Over, The Breaks Over by Fall Out Boy. I dunno why. It just seems so relevant.

Make Yourself by Incubus. There's something for everybody in that song, and the title speaks for itself. Basically it's about being the person you want to be and not what everyone else wants you to be aka: making yourself. It's a very motivating kind of song (although, on first listen it wouldn't sound as though it was). Here's the lyrics if you wanna check it out. Be warned, there's a very tiny bit of profanity, but you'll hardly see it :rolleyes2

For some weird reason, Mr. Brightside by The Killers seems to be super meaningful and relevant to my life, in a completely different way, every time I hear it. It's been that way for the past few years now.

So, I'm going to say that one.
