Driving offences are treated way too lightly by the public, in general, so I reckon it's good she's getting a custodial sentence for this - especially given her history of ignoring or disregarding judicial decisions affecting her. Maybe it's true that the average sentence for this crime is less than what she's getting. But I daresay that most other defendants don't show up at court claiming the law doesn't apply to them because their servants didn't read all their mail to them.

While all people should be treated as equal before the law, that doesn't necessarily mean that everyone'll get the same sentence for the same crime. Individual circumstances are important, like previous offending and whether they accept the seriousness of what they've done.

[Q=Gullick]claiming that [Paris Hilton] is a Role model.[/Q]
Cool joke.

I think that she should be treated just like anyone else in this position would be. Anyone else going to prison, that is. And who knows? She might even learn something from this.
But most likely not.

Nice to see you, bold tags. How sweet of you to invite yourself into one of my words!

Role Model!!! yeah in the same way Charles Manson was.

Ok maybe she s not that bad but in what possible way is she a role model. A vain, pointless, stupid waste of oxygen.

Drunk driving? I say she gets locked up until her death! Not only do I absolutely hate drunk driving, but I hate any individual person that commits the offense! And I ESPECIALLY hate people who get a minor sentence for such an offense!

And her not knowing how long her license was suspended clearly does not hold water, as well as her excuse of not reading her mail. It was nobody's responsibility but HERS. And she only gets FOURTY-FIVE DAYS?! That's a slap on the wrist. Just goes to show you that the status quo of "star power" is absolute smurfing bull! Even THEY need to be held 100% accountable for each and every one of their actions! Yet, the status quo clearly allows them to get away with murder!

I wouldn't sign it. Just cause she's a "celebrity" doesn't mean she shouldn't be treated like everyone else when it comes to drunk driving and driving with a suspended license, or anything else dealing with breaking the law as a matter of fact.

i'm giving up,
on the entire human race....

only 45 days?!?!

i'm glad they actually decided to put her in jail instead of letting her go just because she's a celebrity.

I like Paris. But yeah she has to go and do her time. What kind of role model would she be if she managed to get out of it? Besides, it's not even for that long...

45 days isnt that long, she'll last hopefully. Her fault for breaking probation.

wonder if the dropping the soap rule applies to all girl jails.

Okay, actually, there's so many people who have such dislike or even outright hatred for Paris Hilton that I'm going to sign this just to piss them all off

I bitch about the game a lot, mainly for the lack of story and weak characters, but it is still the best of the series out there.
She loves it more then X!

I think she deserves it. That's just what you get for never reading your mail, right? She should have known to read it. That's just a mistake on her part. She isn't any more special than the rest of us, she should have to deal with it and just get over it, too.
