FFIX sequel?
STOP! FF-game-flood! Fabula Nova Crystallis, VII Compilation, CC series, Ivalice Alliance, the minutes-ago-revealed FF IV DS remake (in 3D) and now this! Stop SE! Stop! My head can't take it all at the same day! I have nothing against many FF games, but please, take it easy!
Heh heh ^^" That said, I don't know. I don't think it's a sequel. To me it looks more like a street fighting game, but with FF/KH characters. =/ (But hey, at least they are giving even the slightiest of attention to IX for once!)
Well, it's definitely not a prequel. Because let's face it, who would start out with an awesome knife like that only to switch to a lame kitchen knife in FFIX? And I'm guessing that blue dude is evil, 'cause well, he's got a blue armor and horns and I guess the skull on his belt helps a bit too. I don't know why he's so angry though, maybe he's another one of those alien gnomes in disguise.
The blue guy looks like the Warrior of Light from the original Final Fantasy.
In which case this thread should have been put in Gen. FF. But...Zidane! I DON'T KNOW!

I'm going to guess it's a Crash Bash style game where Zidane enters a tournament filled with wacky mini games and keraaaazy opponents. Why? The prize is an artifact which can bring the dead back to life, and Zidane and the gang miss Vivi. However, that naughty Kuja has entered too because he misses Brahne or Garland or his dragon or something. But soon, the two former foes realise that horned guy is more evil than he first appeared, and they must team up to defeat him in a chocobo racing minigame or else the world is DOOMED!

I think for the time being we'll keep it in General FF until it is confirmed one way or another that it is directly to do with FFIX, because it doesn't specifically say "IX" in the title so yeah.

- Final Fantasy series characters battle on a 3D field. The genre is fighting competition action (?).
- The gods Cosmos and Chaos called on the heroes of light and dark
- Warrior of light from FF1, Zidane from FF9 will participate
- Garland and Kuja are also confirmed
- Character designs by Nomura.
The current consensus seems to be that this will be sort of like a Final Fantasy Smash Brothers.
Whether or not that's a good thing and they can pull it off is up in the air, though.
Looks to me like the next set of screen shots will show masive fights between Cloud, Cecil, Teara and others. Still we might be able to answer the who would win in fight threads

Yay IX in the nhouse. This could be also the type of game I've been waiting for an FF game with characters from most of the series in there like from I-X2 could be a fighting game and nwho said it looked like KH characters it has FF in the title!
