We all know what onomatopoeia is(or I hope we do). However, not everyone may know is that the onomatopoeia differs between languages.
Now then the question is which languages onomatopoeia do you prefer. Do you prefer Japanese onomatopoeia for animals(nyaa being a cat noise, gaooo being a tiger's roar, chu chu being a squeaking mouse, paka paka being a horse(wth?!)). Or perhaps you just have a few favorites you would like to share(as a note I do like the Japanese nyaa over the English meow while I prefer the clip clop to the Japanese paka paka).
Anyways, let me give a list if you people just want to go 'I like that one better'. [D]=Dutch [E] = English [F]=French [H]= Hebrew [J] = Japanese
Meow[E] vs. Miyau[H] vs. Nyaa[J]
Purr[E] vs. Ronron[F] vs. Goro goro[J]
Kra kra[D] vs. Caw[E] vs. Croa-Croa[F] vs. Krak-krak[H] vs. Kar-kar[J]
Klip klap[D] vs. Clip clop[E] vs. Paka paka[J]
Me, I like Nyaa, Purr, kra-kra, and clip clop.
odd... all my capital J's inside the brackets were made lower case ......
