Following a tutorial by Digital Tutors, I was able to come up with this Pod Racer. First of all, the tutorial left a lot of room for my own creation, pretty much just telling me what things do what, why you use them, etc.

I had animated a non-textured version, and just rendered a textured version. Below are pictures of the rendered front and back, along with a motion blur just to see what it would look like if it was moving (just added in a tiny bit of animation to get that result).

To see the playblast, click here. As you can see it's fairly basic with some secondary animation also involved (the engines drifting up and down and slightly rotating backwards and forwards), and a few other things.
