The story is simplistic, but it's told remarkably well when it is told.

I think the Worms series is underappreciated in the states, though from what I've gathered it's pretty popular in England and thereabouts.

Oh, and Amplitude. Guitar Hero basically overshadows the other great work that Harmonix has put out, but Amplitude was one of their earlier games that is like one of the best arcade-y music games ever. Love it.
