The Fire Emblem theme and Fox's video is up.

Fire Emblem's theme is nice (though I think the page has more lyrics on it than we heard in the song). While I miss the SSBM Fire Emblem music a little, this is a fair successor.

Fox's video paused at the second right when the green dragon popped up from the lake (it had to load more before it could go on), but even from a bad angle with water blocking some of the image, it was unmistakable, I knew it was Rayquaza. And then we get to see what a legendary Pokemon can do to an Arwing.

I liked the old Fire Emblem Music in SSBM as well.

As for the Adventure Mode Clip, it was quite good. Although it leaves me with a lot of questions.

*Please put Rayquaza as a character*

If they did anyway, it probably would be too big. But nothing ventured nothing gained :D

I doubt it. But it would be nice. I also wanted Dark Matter from Kirby's Dream Land 3 to be playable. It'd be so cool playing as a floating eyeball who shoots blood and eyeballs. You don't get to do that in many video games.

If anything they'll add well known Pokemon like Plusle and Minun and Lucario as playable characters.

Rayquaza might wind up as a Pokeball Pokemon though, as I suspect many of the others will. Given that the Pokemon roster seems to have been reduced since Melee, I don't think they'll add in more playable Pokemon.

This one just confirms some returning items. The Beam Sword now is even better than ever before.

I wasn't particularly impressed with today's update. I guess it's nice to know that they won't be updating each old item separately.

For some reason, I think they should add Micaiah to Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I also think they should somehow make reference to Pokemon XD and Pokemon Colosseum even if they don't add a character or a level from those games. Adding a few songs from those games would be more than enough for me (especially since the music in those games are awesome. I'd really want the Regular and Simulation battle songs to be in there). It's probably too late for that though.

Frank Jaeger, aka Gray Fox, is now a confirmed Assist Trophy. Also, a brief overview of how to throw.

    Fixed.

I still find the image of Sonic using a Fire Flower so...weird.

Yeah, tell me about it. It's just like when Sonic games started appearing on Nintendo consoles all over again.

Beam Sword is looking awesome as ever.
Not my words Carol, the words of Top Gear magazine.

They better not have too many Sonic and Snake assist trophies.................

Yeah. Except this time Sonic is actually appearing in a Nintendo game that he shouldn't even be allowed near.................

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games was okay since Nintendo and Sega were the main companies that were supposed to make the game. The Super Smash Bros. series is suppose to be made by Nintendo and other companies (Game Freak, HAL Labratories, etc.) that support Nintendo. That's how it's been for the past two games and they shouldn't have made an exception for this one.

I still fail to see how incorporating third party's is a bad thing in any way. Regardless, they're doing it, so continually complaining about it will do nothing.

How couldn't it not be bad? By sticking Snake in there they've made the game much more violent and have raised the ESRB Rating significantly. Characters in Nintendo games aren't suppose to be using nothing but machine guns, realistic explosives like grenades, and other realistic weapons. Besides, Snake would've been better off being in Halo or a game where he'd actually fit in.

As for Sonic he's overrated and will take away from the Nintendo feel of the game. Too many people will be using him which will destroy the purpose of the Smash Bros. series: having Nintendo characters battle it out and see who'll be victorious. If everyone starts using Sonic and the third party characters that'll no longer be the case and it'll just be some game where everyone will use anyone that isn't from Nintendo which will ruin the Smash Bros. series. You can go ahead and say that people won't be bad enough to use only 3rd party characters but it won't be true. Having no 3rd party characters will make sure that this has absolutely no chance of happening and will ensure that the Super Smash Bros. series won't be heading downhill as a result from them.

You could stick them all in some sort of game that's not Nintendo but uses the same system as the Smash Bros. series and I'd be more than okay with it. But having them with Nintendo characters is wrong and will destroy the Smash Bros. feel to the game.

Brawl is rated Teen, just as Melee is. Going solely from Melee the fighters have used laser weapons, "realistic explosives" (Motion-Sensor Mine anyone?), swords (of regular and beam variety), and items such as bats. Sounds pretty violent to me. Also, Snake would be quite out of place in Halo, based off the different genres, settings, weapons, etc.

I for one plan to try out Sonic, but I doubt I'll stick with him. He looks simply too fast for my style of play, and I'm sure many others will feel this way. I actually may like to use Snake, and if I do, so what? If who I play as ruins the experience for you, tough. I for one don't like fighting Sheik or Falco, but I don't think they should be removed. Seeing as how there are what, two third party characters right now, and let's say two more down the pipe. That's four total, compared to the vast majority of Nintendo characters. I somehow doubt Nintendo will make those for so amazingly unbalanced that they will be the only ones used.

Oh, and maybe it's just me, but the purpose of Smash Bros. has never been "having Nintendo characters battle it out and see who'll be victorious". It's been about having a good time playing a video game. If I still have that good time while using Sonic or Snake, I fail to see a problem.

Glad you came from the future to report this to us. Again, if some people prefer the 3rd party characters, so what? If someone prefers to play as Link or Heihachi or Spawn in Soul Calibur II, does that ruin the game?

True. But again, where is any proof that the series has gone downhill because of them? All the gameplay footage I've seen looks to be incredibly fun, even if Sonic is being used. Point out where it's gone downhill to me as far as gameplay.

Why make two different games that are the same, only with different characters? Also, I have yet to hear why third party characters are bad other than it makes you unhappy with the game. If they unbalanced the game or something I'd understand, but as long as the core gameplay stays the same I see no problem. So if Sonic was some really fast Nintendo character, yet retained the same moves and stats and such you'd have no problem?
