Tarja was kicked out because apparently she'd turned into quite a snob according to the other band members. It was said that she also began caring about the money more than the music.

If that's the case, I can understand why they kicked her out, but it still won't be the same without her. I hope the new singer will do the band just as much credit, even if her voice is much different to Tarja's (yeah, it's a woman for anyone who doesn't know that they did state they wanted a female singer). I've also heard that since Tarja went solo, she sounds bad. According to a couple of people I know who've heard her solo music, she's crap without Nightwish backing her.

I think the band are amazing, especially with the depth Tarja's voice brought to their music. We'll have to wait and see how things go when this new singer is announced and how she sounds.
