Default please help me stop this virus

So my friend told me that on her msn messenger that apparently her computer was sending files to people she was talking to, though she didn't send any........and it wasn't just on one name, she go on her other msn e-mail and it was sending files to the people she was talking to on that name as well, so it's her whole messenger.

Can anyone help me figure out how to stop this?

And she has spam/virus blockers on her computer.

    You need to get headshots...

On a serious note she probably has in her MSN Messenegr client options to accept shared backgrounds and the like so turn them off and it should stop most unwanted transfers.

There have been a few MSN Messenger virii. Check <a href="http://www.google.co.nz/search?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&channel=s&hl=en&q=msn+messenger+virus&meta=&btnG=Google+Search">Google</a> for one that matches what is happening and look for removal instructions.

Not all virus detectors have the same databases. Some companies find viruses others don't find. I would try avg because it's free, and then if that doesn't work attempt to find others.

Once again. Install Dr.Web - innovative technologies for information security. Antivirus & antispam protection. anti-virus and guard. It's free for the first 30 days and so far hasn't stopped impressing me.

The virus or whatever it was ended up going away on it's own :/
