There are many different types of veterans, and each of us thinks the 'downhill' happened sooner or later.
For example one can argue PG's presence signalled a decline in the quality of posts. I cannot counter this claim, so that's a pretty good sign that we're doomed :)
Seriously, we keep posting, so EoFF is still just as good as before, imo.

EoFF is cylindrial. The site goes up and down all the time. Or should that be round and round? Either way, you know what I mean. There will be a 'boom period', followed by the inevitable depression. Then, everyone rediscovers the site and starts posting again.

EoFF has been going downhill for the last few years. this isn't a new trend.
Mostly due to close-minded "oldbies" that are so dedicated to their belief that all newbies are bad and who are too busy being nostalgic over the "golden days" when there was a smaller member base. It hasn't gone downhill at all. It has simply grown, transformed, into something different. As soon as the majority of the member base comes to this same conclusion, EoFF can continue on its path to becoming a very good website and forum.
And yes, I say this with my join date being less than a year old. But hey, that doesn't mean I wasn't here back in 2000-2001.
