Japanese RPGs or Western RPGs?

cRPGs (Console, i.e. Japanese) are like Final Fantasy. You follow a strict storyline and don't actually RP much at all, you just progress through the story as it was set out by the developers.

CRPGs (Computer, i.e. Western) are like Baldur's Gate. You have far, far more freedom in what you do, when you do it, blah blah.

You forgot the part where Westerns get Horribly Boring.
