Who here likes the band Nightwish? I love them! I only started listening to them recently. They are going to announce who the new singer is in 12 days, I can't wait! It'd be awesome if Tarja would come back, even though that probably won't happen.

Nightwish are my favourite band. I bought almost all of their albums. I don't think that they'll be the same without Tarja. Her voice was what made them distinctive.

It was a stupid move to kick out their singer... She was what made the band good, and getting a new one will never be the same. I've never listened to Nightwish enough for it to really annoy me, but some of my friends do.. and believe me, their bitching over it can be quite annoying. So, for Nightwish's and my sake I hope they realize they made a mistake and take back the former singer.

They're an awesome band and I love em, mostly cos I love both opera and metal (which most people cant seem to swallow, strangely). As melodramatic and experimental as they are something about them is just beautiful and electric. But the loss of Tarja is something that will hit them hard. I feel very sorry for their new singer as she is going to be put under intense pressure and scrutiny by fans to live up to Tarja's standards. I'll give her a listen but like you guys said it won't be the same.

If that's the case, I can understand why they kicked her out, but it still won't be the same without her. I've also heard that since Tarja went solo, she sounds bad. According to a couple of people I know who've heard her solo music, she's crap without Nightwish backing her.
I think the band are amazing, especially with the depth Tarja's voice brought to their music. We'll have to wait and see how things go when this new singer is announced and how she sounds.

I'm pretty sure the new singer will be female, I hope so anyway. I've never really thought about it before, because I was sure the new singer would be female.
