				i can't see how i'd really care.
i don't use it...if others do, they can't be mad if i berate and belittle them.

It depends, if its something like a small message than its ok, but if someone is going to type a paragraph answer then they better type it normally
It looks like the ground had a sex change.

I would much rather people typed their words properly for a number of reasons. One, it's easier to read. Two, it makes more of a statement about your intelligence.
For example.
This is a proper sentence, with correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
OMG LOLOLOL THIS SI NTO A WELL RITTEN SENTENC CN U RED THS???????????
Which is more understandable?

No. I don't like IM talk on IMs, but I'll (barely) tolerate it. On a forum, it gets you put into my "people I feel free to ignore/write off as idiots" category real quick.

I will not even attempt to read it if it's typed in that particular way.

Even in WoW when I'm getting attacked, I still use correct spelling. That is unless I make a typo, which I do a lot.

IM talk? What do you mean?
I type the same as I do everywhere; whether it's forums, online gaming or MSN Messenger.
