naw, polls don't need to be. Like you said, not everyone that votes posts... it's kinda like an election. Not everyone that votes actually has opinions about the candidates, or whatever. If they don't want to voice their opinion either A, it's not a very strong one and therefore, doesn't need to be contributed to the thread, or B, they don't want to actually make a statement about it. I know often times I don't even bother to write about things I have an opinion on because it'll just create argument with people that will never concede even a little bit of ground.
