I do not see how this riddle could not contain Seifer as that is what his blade and coat, and limit break are all aligned to as well as his scar. However, you said in a subjective manor did you not.
Are you sure this riddle has not stepped off the path?
PS, I have only played the first disk, so I am mostly following Hypos lead.
I'm not saying that Seifer doesn't fit the clues, but he's not what I had in mind when I wrote it. There's more than one cleaved cruciform in the game.
You can solve some of this riddle by elimination.

Mostly story, but there's a sidequest that can be done as well.
BG57, you have bested me, but in a game of normal riddles, I think I could match you.
