The answer could be said to be another form of one of the previously guessed words, yes. The different lines does result in the same word, spelled exactly the same.
Something to do with crawling on the floor almost dead?
The answer, and the answer to one of the lines, has something to do with a kind of crawling. Death has no particular relevance to the riddle.
