    I thought i was posting in my sleep again for a while :riiight:
    Just borrow someone elses disk to get through that part and then you can probably play the rest with your own disk

    I like your logic!

    My Final Fantasy VII disc sometimes freezes at a certain point during an FMV at Junon, which is really annoying, so I can feel your pain. Sometimes my FFVIII CD 4 won't start at all.

    The "toothpaste trick" is when you clean the disc with toothpaste......but personally i don't reccomend doing so.
