Some new arts from my art class, plus a photo.
This is my watercolor project. I'm a little too tired to explain how I did the B&W pipe, but the background is just watercolor swatches that I pasted into the back. The red and orange drips are neat. I did that by puttin a blob of very wet watercolor on the page and blowing it with a straw to make the "drip" affect. The leaves are not done yet. I'll do them in the B&W with a gloss of red-orangeish. I might add another swatch.
As for my final exam in Art, we have to do an arbitrary color self portrait using a famous artistic style that you like with oil pastels. I chose fauvism. I haven't gotten to the color yet, but I did the outline drawing. It's actually very accurate to the source photo, which is probably the most difficult portrait I had to draw, so I decided I'd show you guys it. It looks a little crazy because it has no values yet. I think I'll probably end up taking photos during the whole process to show a step by step, perhaps?
And here is a photograph I took today. Not bad for not really using my camera for months. Mommy's eye.
