Metal Gear Solid 3 has a bunch of bosses called the Cobra unit. Their names are The Pain, The Fear, The End, The Fury, The Sorrow and The Joy (aka The Boss) respectively.

Threads with The End and The Fury in the title prompted me to make this post: http://forums.eyesonff.com/2204445-post4.html I can only assume Jowy read my post, and liked the sound of a Cobra week, and so made a couple more. Other people soon joined in on the bandwagon, and we ended up with duplicate Fury and Joy/Boss threads.

Then, in a mass spontaneous wave of not getting it but not wanting to miss out on the bandwagon, everybody else started including "The" in their thread titles. If you don't get it, don't try to fake it. It just makes you look like a tomfool!

When you made mention of it, I thought Cobra was in reference to GI Joe so the names seemed really weird to me.

I kind of like it as a quick passing fad. At least it should hopefully pass soon. Times like these we really need Joel to lame things up.
