also, people committing suicide because of school is retarded. they need to suck it up, or seek help if it's really that bad. i was bullied..hell most kids are bullied. also i barely hear about kids killing themselves on the news...because it's rare....and the fact that homeschooling is so rare means you can't compare the two easily.
Why would you want to go to school an be bullied anyway, when you can stay in the comfort of your own home away from the scumbags? Why would you want to follow their curriculum, when you can study those subjects, an a wider variety of subjects at home? An don't assume it only happens when you see it on the news. Plus, whether somebody goes as far as killing themselves or not, the fact it can make people miserable is bad enough. You can learn you social skills in school. You can develop those said skills in a home environment. When you step into the real world, you might not know how to respond to certain things. Being exposed to unwanted behaviors is what teaches us how to deal with them. Not being exposed to such behaviors would not, uhh... I'm having a brain fart... it would not make them less. Or something.

I have to agree with you, there. Almost everybody in my grade (my twin brother being a shining example of this) seems to have a mindset somewhere along the lines of, "I'm in high school now, so I now have the right to blow an artery over nothing." But anyway, I have Asperger's Syndrome myself, as I've mentioned several times on this board. Judging from what I'm hearing, though, that kid either has a really bad case of AS, or it's coupled with something else, like how my Asperger's is coupled with hyperlexia.
