Default What are your favorite albums of 2007 (so far?)

Well, we are at the halfway point (well, close enough) so I suppose I should bring this up.

My list in no real order:

    Menomena - Friend and Foe

    Andrew Bird - Armchair Apocrypha

    Radical Face - Ghost

    Feist - The Reminder

Basia Bulat - Oh My Darling. No US release yet, but I have her album online: it is divine. She is the one in the front ICYCT.

I am also looking forward to buying stuff from St. Vincent (no idea if her music is available stateside yet either), Okkervil River, and Sea and Cake.

    What about you?(!?!?)

Probably just Chevelle's Vena Sera and Nine Inch Nail's Year Zero. I think those are the only two cds I've bought this year that came out this year, too. So there you go. :D

My favorite two for 07 so far are Machine Head - The Blackening and Megadeth - United Abominations. In fact, those are the only two albums I have that were released this year.

    Dälek - Abandoned Language

Moonsorrow - Viides Luku - Hävitetty

Explosions in the Sky - All of a Sudden, I miss everyone

Do Make Say Think - You, You're a History in Rust

I expect I'll probably add Sigh's new album to that list once I can be arsed to get it. A few others that might show up there as well, but that's it for now.

Would have been my best of the year so far also if it wasn't for me getting obsessed with the Dälek album.

I see, I've been meaning to check Dälek out for a while now, I suppose I should get around to that as soon as I can be arsed.

none. i hate modern music. in britain, everyones saying "oh musics so great at the moment!" NO! its not! all these bands like the kaiser chiefs, and the arctic monkeys are pathetic little ponces and lack any attitude, the musics crap. just had to say this on the subject of modern music.
