    Currently I'm using Gentoo Linux.

I quad-boot Gentoo, Arch, Vista and XP on this machine though. Gentoo is easily my most used OS, followed by Arch, XP and then Vista.

There should be a poll option for each distro.

Windows XP. In my 3 or so years of using it I've only ever had one problem -- and that was to do with a corrupt HDD (though not sure what caused it).

I know people say OSX is meant to be really good and everything, but I also have it on a Mac, and I just find it a lot harder to organize files and navigate there. I'm just so used to the Windows layout -- I know where everything is, how to keep everything clean and organized, etc.

Never tried Linux out. Though when I was working as a graphic designer for this programming team, they all were using Linux and it looked too complicated (like typing out command lines to open things). That and their open source programs were becoming a problem overall with everything (compatibility issues mainly).

    Just a personal preference though.

The new mac systems yes, the old mac systems 8.6 and older are kick ass and VERY stable. My Imac that runs 8.6 has NEVER been reformated ever, been beat to all hell and still runs. It has trouble starting up (the scandisk is broken) but other than that and that it doesn't like reading CDs sometimes it's fine. not very fast and very outdated now (hard to get much but diablo 2 and games to work on it, heck it only goes up to IE 5 or something xD)

My Ubuntu 7.04 wanted restarts each time I installed new OS updates, meaning about as many restarts as my WinNT based systems want!

And I have no idea how you go about installing Windows if you need an entire weekend.

I had to struggle with GRUB when I wanted to install Linux - it didn't like my RAID array. Finally, when I did get GRUB to work, it somehow destroyed itself a few days later. Don't really know how.

Linux install time: Constant, repeatedly fixing that bloody bootloader.
Windows install time: An hour, including RAID drivers.

Yeah, but that's Ubuntu. It's "Windows but Linux".

The only time it's actually necessary to reboot is when the kernel is changed. And even then, you only have to reboot when you want to use it; usually the current kernel is fine to use for as long as you want.

I use Linux~ and I haven't used Windows in about six months now XD So yeah...!

And I really dislike fanboys of either side of the Linux spectrum... both the "OMG LINUX IS PERFECT!!111" people and the "OMG LINUX SUCKS!!!1" people. All OS's have their strengths and weaknesses and you should use what works for you and makes you feel comfortable. I really enjoy using Linux, I find it to be very customizable and more intuitive than Windows, and the games that I play work on it, so I use it ^_^ But if you like something else better, then that's fine too~
