Thread: Whoring out a Relationship

    Default Whoring out a Relationship

Now, I'm sure we're all seen these types of people. They go out with friends and friends don't ask then said people say "OH BY THE WAY, I'VE GOT A BOYFRIEND AND WE'RE HAPPY!222211111" or alternatively "the sex with my boyfriend/girlfriend/she male is beyond great".

What do you think of these couples who have to tell everyone about something thats meant to be special for no reason whatsoever, other than to be noticed or to get attention?

I eagerly await all posts, lips licking etc. =]

~*~Celes~*~ & ShadowBahamut won the Cutest Couple Ciddie, so they're automatically immune from any criticism.

If they're my friends, and they're happy, then I've no problem with them squealing that their boyfriend/girlfriend is the bestest thing evar!

I don't mind that... once or twice or three times... four and you're pushing it.

Oh, there's been plenty of THAT on EoFF lately, and I haven't even been here much for the past few months.

I think it's kind of annoying. There's way of involving your bf/gf into a conversation without making it obnoxious.

well i don't think of it as annoying, just childish, and to me shows a bit of insecurity or just inexperience...sure you're happy, sure you have someone to love, but no one cares.

If you have to have reassurances from outside sources about your relationship, it's not very stable is it?

This seems to be very true. It is what separates real relations from Hollywood relations.

and since hollywood is idolized the the point of deification of stupid teenagers, they want to emulate that behaviour...and so we have the point of this thread.

    makes perfect sense.

    goddamned kids.

My girlfriends and I gossip and talk like that to eachother all the time.

Though that's significantly different; We're actually interested in eachother's life.

Otherwise I just shrug and don't really notice that kind of stuff.

    Boldly go.

Well, in all honesty it is slightly annoying but I tend to put myself in their shoes before I turn them off. If they're happy I'd like to be supportive enough to deal with their lovey dovey ramblings no matter how played out it is.

Aaand . . . I think I'd rather listen to them chirp about how utterly wonderful their life is with their new partner than listen to them cry about how they'll be alone forever.

They're attention whores desperate for affection, because they're clingy? I think it was an actor who actually once said, "Real relationships are the ones that we don't see constantly on television. If you love a person you don't need the whole world to know it. The only person that needs to know is the person you love." So yeah.

It just aint my style. The quote in Shiny's post is a really good one, and it sums up how I am with that kind of thing.

It's annoying to have anything constantly thrust into your face, whether it's a relationship, a religion or someone's preference for the McDonald's poundsaver menu.

How would he answer this question:

If you had to have sex with one man, who would it be?

Psychotic is the only logical answer to that question.
