In a way thats true, but Losing & starting over shows learning & development.... whereas just winning and being the greatest anyway sort of says "OMG I AM LIEK SO KEWL AND TEH WINNAR" and doesnt provide any kind of moral or story.

Again, its an anime cliché and its annoying.
